Our Harmony Story
For decades, barbershop singing has been the heart of our community — connecting voices, friendships, and generations through music.
Originally chartered as an all-male chorus under the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), we proudly carried the name Men of Harmony for many years. Generations of singers have shared this tradition, some with more than 60 years of barbershop experience, keeping the timeless sound of four-part harmony alive in Santa Clarita.
But in 2023, we opened a brand-new chapter. 🎶
In keeping with the evolving spirit of barbershop music, our chorus became Harmony Hills Chorus — an All-Voice Barbershop Chorus welcoming both men and women who share a love of harmony, learning, and community.
An All-Voice Barbershop Harmony Chorus Evolving Together
Transitioning from an all-male chorus to an all-voice ensemble has been both exciting and deeply meaningful.
While we continue to honor the legacy of traditional men’s barbershop music, we’re joyfully expanding our repertoire and exploring the richness that comes from blending diverse voices.
Our experienced long-term members serve as mentors, helping newer singers discover the thrill of barbershop while we collectively uncover the “new us.” The process has been one of collaboration, growth, and rediscovery — and we’re proud to be part of this new era of harmony.
Our Purpose
Harmony Hills Chorus exists to:
- Preserve the Barbershop Tradition — cherishing the art form that shaped our roots.
- Promote All-Voice Singing — inviting all who love to sing to share in the joy of four-part harmony.
- Build Community — fostering connection, encouragement, and belonging through music.
We believe harmony isn’t just something you sing — it’s something you create together.
Our Rehearsals
Each week, singers from across Santa Clarita gather to rehearse, laugh, and learn together. Whether it’s preparing for our annual Christmas Dreams show, performing at community events, or simply enjoying the joy of ringing a chord, we celebrate both the music and the people who make it.
